What lies below... or rather, hangs...
Below the flowers from the last few posts there was another interesting subject. Lower in the plants was a spider web that had caught only drops of water (presumably from the sprinklers), so I got the camera down in it.

These white and purple flowers were found in someplace one might not expect (see these other posts for where). These shots focus on ones that had not opened completely, or at all, or would not open again.

Urban Light wins cover
About a month and a half ago, I mentioned how some of my Urban Light photos I'd submitted to the LACMA contest were finalists.
I now can announce that one of my photos was chosen as the winner, and is used as the cover for an online exhibit and book, Celebrating Urban Light. (Click those links to see the exhibit and/or order the book.)

Coming clean II
Bar of soap on the windowsill in the bathroom, by the muted sunlight coming in the window. (Same as with the previous post.) For these, however, I played around with setting the white balance for fluourescent, which created a bit more blue tint to the colors.
