It's a lamp in my mother's living room. The shot was taken while visiting her back in March, in the late evening after everyone else had gone to bed, and it was the only light left on in the room.
I thought the shot was looking up at a chimney outside, vines growing across it. Now you say it was taken in a living room. So it's looking down at the floor, right? And the lines creeping across the floor are actually shadows of vines in the window, cast by outside lighting.
OK, I get it. I thought you wrote it was illuminated by a lamp, but after a second read you said the subject was the lamp. Thus the pun, shine a light. The obvious answer that somehow escaped me because I was reading too much into the image. You stumped me with the mysterio.
My kind of photography. Did you provide the light? Those are vines creeping across the stonework, right?

ReplyDeleteI guess they could be vines...
OK, you got me on this one.

Or did you get me again?
Anyway, good job with the mysterio photography.
